Your creative business needs a backup plan
Protect more than the finished video: save the pieces you need to work again.
Save the production package
A finished video may not be enough to make an edit next year. Keep source footage, project files, fonts you are licensed to use, captions and any linked assets. Document software versions if the project depends on specific plugins.
Make permissions portable
Keep licenses, releases and written reuse permissions with each project. A public URL is not evidence of permission. If a collaborator changes their terms or a license expires, those records help you make an informed decision.
Assign a routine and an owner
For a team, name one person responsible for checking backups and access. Review shared access when collaborators leave. Test restoring a project, not just an individual video. Your archive is useful only if someone can reopen and understand it.
