Build a backup habit that actually sticks
A ten-minute weekly routine beats an ambitious archive you never maintain.
Choose one inbox
Create a folder called Video inbox. Put new original exports there as soon as you publish. Use a date and short subject in filenames, such as 2026-09-23_studio-tour_master.mp4. Keep published versions separate from masters.
Make independent copies
Keep a working copy and a second copy on a separate device or storage service. Synchronization alone is not a complete backup: deleting a synchronized file can remove it everywhere. Use version history and test restoring a file.
Review once a week
Move finished work into project folders, confirm both copies open, and record the platform links in a small text file. Save permitted published copies when useful, but keep the original as your primary archive.
Only download content that you own or have permission to save. Platform availability depends on your configured provider.
